About
Every position here is picked by hand. The analysis behind a call is done separately and is not published; what is published is the call itself, on the day it is made, and what happened to it afterwards.
Composition: a small number of names at a time, sized by conviction rather than to a target weight.
Holding period: no fixed schedule and no rebalancing calendar. A position is closed when the reason for holding it has gone.
How performance is calculated
Value is computed from daily closing prices and recomputed every fifteen minutes. The figures on this page are not stored; they are derived from the market each time the page is built.
Return is measured against the capital committed on the day of the first position. That capital counts from day one whether it is deployed or sitting in cash, so opening a position later cannot make the line jump on the day the money arrives.
Entry price is the real fill on the day of the order. Where a fill differs from that day’s close it is recorded explicitly and never revised afterwards. Figures are before tax and before brokerage commission.
